Storm drain grates stolen in Greenville and Anderson counties

ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina Department of Transportation says more than 100 storm drain grates have been stolen along I-85 in Greenville and Anderson counties.

SCDOT says the grates are heavy and likely require two people to carry them. The grates also leave behind holes which can be dangerous if a motorcyclist or vehicle hit one.

SCDOT says thieves are also stealing manhole covers, pieces of guard rails, and rebar.
