Glynn co. woman wins $100,000 on scratch off ticket

GLYNN CO., GA (WTOC) -

A Glynn County cosmetologist has won a $100,000 top prize playing the instant game Royal Caribbean Cruise for Cash.

Cierra Bates, 20, is happy that she won but has not made any plans for the money yet.

"I didn't think it was real," she explained. "I just got some tickets and scratched them off."

The lucky ticket was sold at the Quick Stop at 1503 Gloucester St. in Brunswick.

    COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Lee County Sheriff's Department and EMS officials responded to a call about a man who was found to be unresponsive during a hunting trip.  51-year-old Edward Martin Jr. was found Friday night around 7 p.m. at the bottom of a tree he was posted at while hunting.  The Lee County Sheriff's Department and EMS made it to the scene at 7:41 p.m. and pronounced Martin dead at the scene.  Officials say it appears he fell from about 18 to 20 feet to ...
