SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Top local chefs, musicians, food vendors and folks from the community packed Mother Matilda Beasley Park on Saturday for the Savannah Food Day Festival.
The festival included activities for children, workshops with live cooking classes and much more.
"The main message here is that it's time for Savannah to start eating a bit more healthy and caring about where their food comes from," said Rene Teran.
The festival was part of a national movement celebrating food awareness. It was sponsored by Well FED magazine, the Savannah Chatham Food Policy Council and a number of other local organizations.
