SSU students aim to 'can hunger'

A group of Savannah State University students are teaming up hoping to put an end to hunger.

The project is called the "Let's Can Hunger Challenge" and it aims to raise hunger awareness. The students behind the project are a part of the Cans for COBA group.

Individuals are encouraged to drop off canned goods at designated locations including the Pooler Wal-Mart location on Pooler Parkway, Kroger on Mall Boulevard, EN-V-US on Pennsylvania Avenue, and the Walgreens at Largo and Abercorn.

The promotion runs through Nov. 10.
