SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A Chatham County jury continues to hear testimony in a murder trial now into day four.
Alex Cowart and John Adams are accused of killing Savannah College of Art and Design student Sean Giroir, 20, during a home invasion and robbery in Oct. 2010. Also accused is Daniel Izzo, who took a plea deal and testified Oct. 20 against the other two accused men.
On Oct. 24, several detectives and the General Manager of the Comfort Inn and Suites in Sandy Springs took the stand. Also on the witness stand was Michael Levi, who says he was at the Barnard St. home at the time of the invasion and was shot in the arm and hip.
"When we go outside, I see Miles turning the corner, and I follow Miles. Seconds later, as soon as I turned the corner, I get shot twice, once in the arm, once in the hip. I kind of fall on my knees and just kind of go into shock. It's kind of hard to remember after that, but I do remember calling 911," said Levi.
The trial will resume Tuesday at 9 a.m.
