The annual Scottish Games at St. Andrew's school on Wilmington Island began on Oct. 25. The games kicked off bright and early with a parade led by bagpipes. From the caber toss to the always popular tug of war, each clan competing had to use teamwork and pure physical strength.
"When you come to St. Andrew's, you are put into one of 6 Scottish clans. This is the day where it all culminates. It's just a great day for St. Andrews school spirit and St. Andrew's pride. We have a great time," said Scott Searcy, of St. Andrew's school.
The Scottish games are part of a weeklong homecoming celebration with different themes every day. Oct. 25 was school spirit and Oct. 26 will be Pink Panther Day.
