SSU celebrate homecoming festival

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Savannah State University marching band is getting everyone into the tiger spirit as they kicked off the Festival of the Tiger on Oct. 28.

One of the main attractions was the National Alumni Association's Fish Fry. Graduates served a whole lot more than fish too. Students say the homecoming activities bring the generations closer.

"People who have been in college for years, we come together. This is our home, so we come together to celebrate the years that Savannah State has actually been together," said India Knowles, SSU student.

Homecoming is Oct. 29. The parade kicks off at 9 a.m. followed by the game at 2 p.m.
