SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
Pets and their pals enjoyed the festivities at the first ever "Furry Fright Night"on Saturday.
The event, sponsored by the Humane Society of Greater Savannah, had face painting, pumpkin decorating, a costume contest, and several scary outdoor movies.
There was even a chance for folks to adopt a pet for free.
"It's really busy, everyone gets counseled the same and it's still the same application process but the fee is waved," said Guinn Friedman.
The free adoptions will continue until Monday at midnight.
The Humane Society of Greater Savannah still needs your help in the race to win $25,000 in the Community Engagement Grant.
