SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Places like the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club offered an alternative to trick or treating out on the streets. They brought the spirit of Halloween inside for a festival. There were plenty of candy, games and costumes.
"In the community, you have so many different dangers, traffic with it being late at night, the type of weather that we have right now is a little chilly, and a lot of children don't have that parent's supervision to take them around. So, they're at a safe place and they're supervised by the different staff members," said Leshea Newton, Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club.
It is the Boys & Girls Club's first fall festival and they are already making plans for next year.
