People pumped for Rock and Roll Marathon

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - 23,000 runners and walkers took part in the half and full Rock and Roll Marathon on Saturday.

The runners started downtown, headed all the way over to the Truman Parkway, through the historic district, and finally finished up at Forsyth Park and thousands lined the streets to watch.

"The scenery is gorgeous, you can't stop looking at the oak trees, the spectators that went out for the first time, they were awesome, even for the numbers that were there, you could tell that their whole heart was in it," said Susana Rico from Chicago.

"Cheering the runners and dancing to the music because there was some serious dance music at the sport where I was checking out the runners," said Melissa Ralph.
