62nd annual Veterans Day Parade It starts at 10:30 a.m. Friday. The parade starts on Abercorn Street at Gwinnett Street. It heads north on Abercorn Street to Liberty Street. Then it heads west on Liberty Street to Montgomery Street, it goes north on Montgomery to Broughton Street. Then it heads east on Brought Street and ends at East Broad Street.
Savannah Jr. ROTC Drill Team Competition The Fort Stewart Non-Commissioned Officers Academy is participating in the Savannah Jr. ROTC Drill Team Competition. It takes place at 8 a.m. Friday at Forsyth Park.
Free trolley tours
Old Town Trolley Tours of Savannah will offer all military veterans, whether active duty, retired or honorably discharged, complementary admission on Friday. Veterans must be in uniform or show current ID card for active duty or retired or a DD214 (proof of release from the military) at any of our Old Town Trolley booths. Offer is not good at third-party vendor locations.

Beaufort County Office of Veterans Affairs
Parade and ceremony 9:30 parade downtown Beaufort 11 a.m. ceremony at Beaufort's National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary St.
Sgt. Major Carl R. Green, USMC, (Ret.), a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom was selected parade grand marshal and Brigadier General Gen. Lori Reynolds, USMC, Commanding General, MCRD/ERR, Parris Island, will be the keynote speaker at the 11 a.m. ceremony.
The parade begins at 9:30 a.m. and will follow the downtown Beaufort parade route which begins at Rogers Street near the national cemetery, moves along Boundary Street toward downtown, turns right onto Bay Street, right onto Bladen St. and back to the cemetery.
The Whale Branch Early College High School Band will perform in the parade and ceremony. Other participants include several area high school bands, color guards of each branch of the service, marching military personnel, local veterans service organizations and ladies auxiliaries.
Civic organizations and fire departments will also participate, the Water Festival Pirettes and the Patriot Guard Riders. A reception will take place after the ceremony at the AMVETS Post #70, 1831 Ribaut Road in Port Royal.
Veteran's Day Blood Drives
The Blood Alliance is holding a blood drive to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. The Blood Alliance will donate $5 for every pint donated on Veterans Day. Comcast Business Class has also partnered with the Blood Alliance to provide a $1,000 donation.

The event is free and open to all Sun City residents. Sue Sweeney, executive director of Sun City Hilton Head, will sing the national anthem, and the Sun City Singers will be joined by the Jasper County School District Glee Club during performances.
Col. Joseph Novack, commander of the 3rd Sustainment Brigade, is the featured speaker at the annual Sun City Veterans Association Day Program. Two Purple Heart recipients will be recognized from the Warrior Transition Battalion. Sun City's Quilts For Heroes group will present quilts to wounded warriors. Purple Heart recipients will also be present.
The 260th Quartermaster Battalion, 3rd SB are participating in the Ridgeland Veterans Memorial Park Dedication. That takes place at 11 a.m. in Ridgeland.

It is the perfect time to come see the Museum's newest addition a WWII era B-17 bomber. The airplane named, "City of Savannah" is on display in the Museum's Combat Gallery while undergoing a complete restoration.
