2 armed robbery suspects wanted in Beaufort

BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) - Two young men are wanted in connection with an attempted armed robbery and stabbing that happened Wednesday night outside of a Beaufort trailer park.

Just before 5 p.m. Wednesday, deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office responded to a stabbing at the Ramblin Rose mobile home park. A 39-year-old man with a laceration to the neck told deputies that he was injured when two males tried to rob him.

The man was walking to a family member's home when two black males came up to him, according to the sheriff's office. One suspect demanded money and began going through his pockets. The victim fought the suspects. They ran from the scene toward Goodwin Street and didn't get anything from the victim.

The man got to his family's home and realized that he was bleeding profusely from a large wound on his neck. Deputies responded, and he was transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital. He was treated and later released.

The suspect who attacked the man is described as 18 to 20 years of age. He's 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 145 lbs. He was wearing all green clothing and a black beanie hat.

The other suspect was described about 13 to 15 years old. He was wearing red and black.

Those with information are asked to contact either Investigator Cpl. A. Rice at 843.255.3429 or the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at 843.524.2777.
