EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - Two men have been charged in connection with six residential burglaries that occurred over a month in Bulloch County.
The burglaries happened from Oct. 12 to Nov. 11 in the Stilson and Nevils areas.
The crimes involved either forced or non-forced entry and large amounts of stolen jewelry, according to the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office.
On Nov. 18, investigators got a tip from Savannah-Chatham Metro Police that two men from Effingham County had disposed of large amounts of property in Chatham County. Investigators linked the men to six burglaries involving jewelry thefts, according to the sheriff's office.
Warrants were issued for brothers Joseph Lee Brant, 35, and Edward Keith Brand, 31, both of Rincon, according to the sheriff's office.
Investigators and members of the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force found the Brants and took them into custody.
The Brants were taken to the Effingham County Jail. They were both charged with six counts of burglary.
