EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - Solving a crime is no easy task. Some South Effingham High School students got training on Monday when they participated in a mock crime scene.
The school held a mock crime scene for students in their forensic science class. The class brings together students from different science levels.
As part of Monday's mock crime scene, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to helped the students get a real-life feel of a crime scene situation.
"We're working really hard to do the CSI effect. The kids watch CSI and they think it's really easy. And bringing GBI in they get that personal touch, that realistic touch, and they get the frustration of going through the lab having to do the lab and realize it's not that easy to do," said teacher Cynthia Dean.
This is the first year the forensic class has been offered.
