SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The 2012 Rock n' Roll Marathon is about a year away, but it's never too early to start planning for the next big race.
City agencies met Tuesday to discuss what changes need to be made for next year's race.
There were a few problems this year, starting with a major traffic jam on the Talmadge bridge as the 23,000 runners headed to the Trade Center to pick up their packets. There were also a few minor issues with the shuttle service.
The competitor group is in town to discuss those issues and talk about course enhancement, and even adding a kids race.
"Overall, we were blown away by the support of the city, the turnout by runners locally, nationally and internationally," said Malain McCormick. "We could not have asked for a better first year and we hope that translates into a better sophomore year as well."
