14 arrested in Brunswick drug sweep

BRUNSWICK, GA (WTOC) -

Several street-level drug dealer suspects were arrested early Wednesday morning as part of a 10-month undercover probe by Glynn/Brunswick Narcotics Enforcement Team, Brunswick police and Glynn County police.

There were 14 arrests in the sweep and 23 officers participated. Other arrests are pending.

Desmond Threats, 20, was charged with the sale of cocaine.

Clifford Benfield, 58, was charged with the sale of a schedule II controlled substance, sale of schedule IV controlled substance.

Kishia Daley, 24, was charged with the sale of cocaine.

Christopher Douglas, 33, was charged with the sale of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of drug-related objects.

Allen Tyrone Whipple, 38, was charged with two counts of the sale of cocaine.  

Charles Moses, 25, was charged with sale of cocaine.

Tyrone Jefferson, 43, was charged with two counts of the sales of cocaine and distribution within 1000 feet of public housing.

Fredrick Culver, 31, was charged with two counts of the sale of cocaine.

Demetrius Manor, 29, was charged with the sale of cocaine.

Mario Walden, 27, was charged with the sale of cocaine.

Kenneth Dobson, 30, was charged with the sale of cocaine.

Anthony Wilkerson, 39, was charged with the sale of cocaine.

Eric Hughes, 19, possession of marijuana.

Freddie Shaw, 30, was charged with the sale of cocaine.

They're being held in the Glynn County Detention Center, where they're awaiting a bond hearing. Police are still looking for others in connection with the investigation.
