SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Airmen and their families received a special delivery on Tuesday.
Santa Claus flew on down from the North Pole to spread some holiday cheer to the 165th Airlift Wing of the Georgia Air National Guard.
He handed out presents and got a few last-minute gift suggestions. This time last year, most of these airmen were about to head out to Afghanistan for three months just after the holidays.
"These families and the children, they sacrifice a lot during the year. And it's a great way to usher them into the holiday season," said Frank Baker, the Family Readiness program manager.
This is the 10th year the 165th has put on the holiday celebration for the airmen and their families.
