BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) - Beaufort police said they do not have an update on the medical condition of a 3-year-old girl who was severely injured Monday night.
Police said Dionna Hagood remains at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Police responded to the Cross Creek Apartment Complex just before 10:30 p.m. Monday on a report of a child falling off a balcony.
But after investigating, police say the injuries were found to be intentional and not consistent with a fall.
Dionna was taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital and then transported to the Medical University of South Carolina.
Police said they will not be publicly addressing any medical information about the girl in the future.
The toddler's mother, 22-year-old Shayla Bryan, is charged with attempted murder.
Bryan was in court Tuesday and was denied bond.
Police are still investigating. Those with information in the case should call Beaufort Police or Beaufort County Non-Emergency Dispatch.
