Firefighters give out toys at Greenbriar

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Savannah Fire and Emergency Service firefighters gave out toys on Wednesday at the Greenbriar Children's Center.

They have been collecting these toys for several weeks now.

"We realize that times are tight for a lot of people, and we're able to make some things happen. So this will hopefully enlighten some kids' Christmas. Well, anytime you can bring joy to anybody during times of need and during the holidays, it makes you feel good," said Chris Shelnutt, of Station 5.

The firefighters said they don't want to compete with other organizations for the toys. Instead, they want to work together to make everyone's Christmas brighter.
