Statesboro man arrested on burglary charges

BULLOCH CO., GA (WTOC) - A man was nabbed by Bulloch County sheriff's deputies after a witness saw him breaking in to a mobile at the Greenhaven mobile home park.

Deputies responded at about 11:33 a.m. Friday to the mobile home park on Old Register Road on a burglary report.

Deputies and investigators at the scene saw a fire at the rear of the mobile home, where the suspect had been spotted.

The fire was extinguished. A short time later, Kemuel Ryan Spivey, 25, of Statesboro, was found by deputies in the mobile home park hiding under a mobile home, according to the sheriff's office.

Investigators also searched Spivey's apartment on Chandler Road.

He was charged with one count of first-degree arson, one count of criminal attempt to commit burglary; one count of criminal damage to second-degree property and one count obstruction.

Spivey is currently held without bond at the Bulloch County Jail.
