Savannah High holds food, toy drive

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Savannah High School hosted an annual food and toy drive on Friday.

The event feeds more than 600 families and 2,500 children. It was made possible with the help of donations from the community and the food bank.

A famous face came out to get in on the festivities and give back to the community.

"Well, I'm here to help a great cause with these organizations and what they doing for these families, so I'm just making a celebrity appearance. Just donating my time, giving back to the community and want to see these kids faces light up during Christmas time, " said Matthew Jackson, a retired Harlem Globetrotter.

America's Second Harvest donated some of the food for the event.
