A Glennville man has been found guilty of murder. Lee Woodcock was shot and killed in his driveway almost two years ago. It took the jury about an hour and a half to find Stacy Durrence guilty, but mentally ill. Defense attorneys claimed Durrence was insane at the time.
Woodcock was vice president of Rotary Corporation and Durrence was a former employee.
"The only real issue presented to the jury was the status of my client's mind at the time he committed the act," said defense lawyer Steve Beauvais. "No issue about who did it or when or the mechanics of what happened."
Durrence will now be examined by state psychiatrists to determine whether he'll serve a life sentence in prison or at a state mental hospital.
