SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A SCAD senior who's majoring in fashion is the winner of the grand prize in Lifetime Television's inaugural Runway Scholarship Challenge, the university announced Tuesday.

Eduardo Calvo won $10,000 for his designs that answered the question: "If a Lifetime movie was made about your life, what would your character be wearing and why?"

Entrants had to submit three sketches, describe the materials and the process they would use to make the designs. They also had to write an essay the major themes in their move and those would affect their looks and clothing, according to SCAD.

Calvo then had to present his plan before a panel of judges.

Seth Aaron Henderson, season seven winner of "Project Runway," reviewed the entries and picked Calvo as the grand prize winner, and five other scholarship recipients, according to the college.

Winners will use their prize money in their pursuit of a college degree and to support their dreams of becoming a designer.
