Two professors to speak at SCAD liberal arts series

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - 'The Art of the Mind,' a free lecture series put on by The Savannah College of Art and Design School of Liberal Arts, is continuing its run with two speakers in Jan.

George Akerlof, a Professor of Economics at the University of California, will be presenting 'Phishing for Phools' at the Arnold Hall auditorium at 5 p.m. on Jan. 10.

James Pennebaker, the Regents Centennial Professor of Liberal Arts and the chair of the Psychology Dpt. at the University of Texas, will be presenting 'The Secret Life of Pronouns' at the SCAD Museum of Art Theater at 5 p.m. on Jan. 31.

"Akerlof and Pennebaker are two outstanding scholars whose cutting edge research will be of great interest to the SCAD and Savannah community," said Robert Eisinger, dean of the SCAD School of Liberal Arts, according to a news release.
