The Chatham County Commission is honoring a young man who committed his life to helping the community. Twenty-one-year-old Brandon Brown was hit and killed by a car two weeks ago. Today, the commission presented Brandon's mother with a proclamation to honor his memory.
Brandon was a graduate of Savannah High and a leader with the Chatham County Youth Commission and other groups. His mom, Sadie, says she couldn't be more proud of her son. "To know that this city has come to my aid in his name, it's beyond words," she said.
Brandon Brown was also a DJ for E-93 and 94.1 the Beat on local radio.
