A convicted murderer will spend the rest of his life behind bars. Thirty-two-year-old Anthony Michael Owens was convicted yesterday in the March 2001 murder of Bonnie Carrol. Police say Owens also kidnapped and sexually assaulted two women in Hinesville before fleeing to Richmond Hill where he killed Carrol in her apartment.
Yesterday, Owens pled guilty to murder and received life without the possibility of parole. Owens is also charged with kidnapping three women in South Carolina. There's no word on when he'll go to trial there.
