South Carolina (WTOC) - Before the polls closed in New Hampshire Tuesday night, Texas Governor Rick Perry was already making his bid for the South Carolina Primary. He was the first candidate to stop in ahead of the vote on January 21st. Perry says he wants to get a leg up on his competition for this crucial state.
"South Carolina voters are plenty smart. They're going to look at that old adage of if you want to know how someone will perform in the future look at their past," said Perry.
By Wednesday all of the GOP candidates are scheduled for campaigning in the Palmetto state.
