Beach High School crowns new queen

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

It was not just another high school pageant Jan. 12. This one was about saving a tradition. For the first time in 5 years, Alfred Ely Beach High School has a new queen.

Seven beautiful, talented young ladies took on the challenge of making their school very proud as they competed for the coveted title of Miss Beach High School. A huge crowd was on hand as Jaquandra Benjamin came in first place. For her talent, she danced, while others sang and recited monologues.

WTOC's Dawn Baker served as the emcee for the night.
