The way the Savannah Waterfront Association manages money from the St. Patrick's Day celebration was once again a hot topic for city council members today. The council still wants to know where the money is going, so today it held a special workshop. The Waterfront Association was there to answer questions about spending, but some council members still aren't satisfied.
This year, the council is also asking the Waterfront Association to help pick up the cost of the portable toilets on River Street. "I think this council voted and that the Waterfront Association should pay, so if they don't I think we're going to have to seek some kind of action," said Alderman Tony Thomas.
The city council says it expects to hear more from the Waterfront Association in the next week.
