SPRINGFIELD, GA (WTOC) -
Six people face several drug charges after a traffic stop results in arrests.
Effingham County sheriff's deputies discovered a rolling methamphetamine lab during a traffic stop and found an indoor marijuana growing operation at a home off of Lee Road in Springfield.
Investigators pulled over a Chevrolet Avalanche on Old Dixie Highway near Chester Thomas Road on a tip that there was a meth lab in it.
Denny Knight, 32, of Springfield; William Malphus, 58, of Springfield; Michael Vickery, 26, of Springfield; and Brent Moore, 27, of Clyo; were inside the vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.
Investigators found the indoor marijuana growing operation in Moore's home on Lee Road and found two more suspects Lacey Morgan, 29, of Guyton; and Robert Finch, 28, of Springfield, according to the sheriff's office.
Knight, Malphus, and Moore, were all arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of tools during the commission of a crime.
Vickery has been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and manufacturing marijuana.
Finch and Morgan have both been charged with manufacturing marijuana. They are being held in the Effingham County Jail.
