Edwards Stumps in Savannah

Sen. John Edwards Sen. John Edwards

Presidential hopeful Sen. John Edwards is getting ready for the Super Tuesday primaries on March 2. He's campaigning across the State of Georgia and today, he stopped in Savannah for a rally in Johnson Square. Edwards attracted huge crowds hoping to rally votes in the mostly Republican South.

Many supporters screamed "Bush is out and Edwards in" while the democratic hopeful gave what some thought was a very rejuvenating speech. "I think John Edwards was wonderful today," said Prince Jackson, Jr., of the local NAACP. "He gave a message of hope. A message that will inspire many people."

WTOC spoke one on one with Sen. Edwards after the rally. He told us, "Instead of having trade agreements like NAFTA, we're going to have trade agreements that level the playing field that allows us to keep jobs in this country."

Georgia and five other states will take part in the Super Tuesday primaries.
