SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

On Jan. 30, a customer attempting to leave the JC Lewis Ford Service Center in Savannah got her foot caught on the gas pedal and crashed into the used car building and into an office. Nobody was injured, but three cars in the service center and a large section of the wall in the sales building were damaged.

"Well, I was sitting at my desk making some phone calls when all of a sudden, this horrendous noise came. We found out later that this lady came crashing through the back wall in the office. It affected our day for a while, but I think everyone has calmed down now. We know the lady is safe and she is okay and it is just an accident. Accidents happen," said Greg Drought, JC Lewis Ford car salesman.

"Thank God nobody was in that office. There were a few people standing behind there that got out of the way, but thank God nobody was hurt," said Michael Affer, JC Lewis Ford General Manager.

JC Lewis management estimates it could take up to a month to have all the damages repaired.
