Sex offender held in Bulloch Co. on several charges

STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -
A sex offender was arrested Tuesday in connection with a domestic dispute in Statesboro.
Bulloch County Sheriff's Office deputies responded at about 5 p.m. Jan. 31 to the 400 block of Brannen Drive on a report that a man was acting violently toward residents.
Gregory Wayne Lott, 33, was arrested and provided a false name, according to the sheriff's office.
Lott was wanted out of Coffee County on a probation violation as a sex offender, according to the sheriff's office. He had absconded from sex offender supervision and had moved to Bulloch County, according to the sheriff's office.
He is being held at the Bulloch County Jail on charges of simple battery, disorderly conduct, obstruction, and giving false information to law enforcement stemming from the domestic violence incident.
Lott is also being held for extradition to Coffee County.
