Savannah Stopover festival adds 25 bands to lineup

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

From March 7 to March 10, Savannah's small clubs and venues will be filled with more than 70 bands, most of which are en route to SXSW in Austin, Texas.

Bands from different genres will be bringing emerging music to Savannah.

Savannah Stopover's lineup includes: The War on Drugs, The Love Language, Caveman, Grimes, Girl In A Coma, Pujol, Jukebox the Ghost, Oberhofer, The Men, Doldrums, Zambri, Quilt, Guards, The Knocks, Prince Rama, Royal Baths, Dive, Chamberlin, Ponderosa, Savoir Adore, Pond, Born Gold, Turbo Fruits, Bare Wires, Eternal Summers, The Big Sleep, St. Lucia, Deleted Scenes, Dinosaur Feathers, Hooded Fang, Cheyenne Marie Mize, Idiot Glee, Milagres, Little Tybee, TOPS, Delicate Steve, Xray Eyeballs, Gemma Ray, Janka Nabay, The Suzan, Brown Bird, The Loon, Buxton, Sleepy Vikings, The Minutes, Betsy Kingston & The Crowns, Country Mice, Quincy Mumford, Grandchildren, River Wyless, Young Empires, The Ewins, Christ, Lord, Secret Mountains, Happy New Year, The District Attorneys, Spanish Prisoners, Fine Peduncle, Jon Lindsay, Christopher Paul Stelling, Wowser Bowser, Speak, The Preservation, The Head, Hubble, Tiny Victories and many more to be announced.

Many other events will be taking place through out the four-day festival, including afternoon shows with music and food and late-night after parties with special guest DJs.

The Third Man Records Mobile Record Store will also be headed to Savannah for the festival, which will be making stops around. There will also be showcases by Kanine Records and Neon Gold Records.

Since Savannah is home to the Savannah College of Art and Design, area students and artists have been asked to create posters for each band playing the festival. The artwork will be showcased in the Jepson Center for the Arts throughout the festival.
