SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

No need to call the fashion police just yet, the Junk To Funk Fashion Show kicked off Saturday evening.

Savannah Arts Academy students came together to show off their most "trashiest" fashions.

They're using some everyday junk to create "funk."

Darcy Melton says, "among my various materials from the newspaper, I used Kroger sacks and toilet paper rolls, and cat food bags for the skirt and I sewed it all together.

Fashions were judged by the junk jury, which included several Savannah designers and Project Runway contestants.
