SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
A 26-year-old Rincon man accidentally shot himself at the Savannah Civic Center on Sunday afternoon.
Charles Lake accidentally shot himself at about 5:10 p.m. Sunday and injured his leg, according to Savannah-Chatham Metro Police. The wound was not considered life-threatening.
He was taken to Memorial University Medical Center.
An SCMPD violent crimes detective said Lake had bought the pistol at the gun show on Saturday and returned with it on Sunday. He unloaded the gun to enter the show and was reloading it outside the building when it fired, according to police.
