SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
The court granted a defense request to delay the hearing for a Fort Stewart soldier until June.
Spc. Neftaly Platero is charged with shooting and killing two fellow soldiers while deployed to Iraq.
He was based in Fallujah, Iraq, with Spc. John Carillo and Pfc. Gebrah Noonan. Investigators say a fight erupted and Platero shot and killed them both.
One soldier who survived the shooting testified that he can't remember being shot or who pulled the trigger. Another soldier testified the gunman was Platero.
All of the soldiers involved were members of the 4th Brigade's 315 Infantry of the 3rd ID.
