SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
Julian Weitz operates a business
that has been in Savannah's Historic District for more than 100 years and on
Feb. 8, he received some well deserved recognition for being one of the city's
top businessmen.
The Savannah Downtown Business
Association named Weitz as their Entrepreneur of the Year. He has owned
Freidman's Fine Art since the mid 70's and he and his wife Jean also have three
businesses on River Street. They have seen businesses come and go over the decades
but the secret to success never changes.
"You just have to keep your eye
on the ball and take care of your customers and generally things take care of themselves
if you continue to do that. Customer service is probably the most important
thing to any business and at Friedman's Fine Art, we value our customers, some
of which we are now serving six generations," said Weitz.
Weitz is also on the Board of
Directors for the Savannah Waterfront Association and a member of Community
Organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, the Telfair Museum, and the
Savannah Jewish Federation.
