Campaign to Attract Men to Nursing

Are you man enough to be a nurse? There's a big effort underway to draw men into the nursing profession. The Coastal Georgia Nursing Consortium hosted an event last night at the Hyatt Regency to break down nursing stigmas and educate men interested in becoming nurses.

Organizers say there is a critical need for nurses throughout the coastal region. "The nursing profession gives opportunity to do everything from important high-tech action-type jobs and make an impact both professionally and personally on your life as well as others'," said nurse Ted Tomter.

The consortium is teaming up with AASU and the Georgia League for Nursing in the effort. For more information on the program, call 912.692.5499.
