Southwest Elementary puts on 3rd annual Father Daughter Dance

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Dads and daughters got a chance to spend a little quality time together at the Southwest Elementary School's annual Father Daughter Dance. Everyone dressed their best for the very special night, which also encourages parent involvement in the young student's lives.

"It is very important for a father to be a part of his child's life, because we as PTA parents, we stress parent involvement, and this is one of the great ways to get our dads involved with their children," Paula Connelly, PTA President.

This is the third year they have put on the dance.
