Disabled American Veterans honors Hardees for their support

PORT ROYAL, SC (WTOC) -

Veterans in the lowcountry are reaching out to help other veterans. Every week, the Disabled American Veterans assist veterans with their claims at the Hardees restaurant in Port Royal.

Recently, the group gave the staff at Hardees a plaque for their support.

"We do this because lots of people do not know they qualify to be buried in the National Cemetery. We do not get them anything they do not deserve," said Ron Voegeli, Disabled American Veterans, 3rd Jr. Vice Commander.

The Disabled American Veterans are available for assistance with claims starting at 8 a.m. each Thursday at the Hardees restaurant in Port Royal.
