Four delegates of China's Shanghai Lixin University met with Savannah State University officials Tuesday to sign and international agreement Tuesday.
The agreement will allow Chinese students to complete their last two years of their four year degree at Savannah State. Students must meet the program's criteria to be eligible. Completing two years at Shanghai Lixin University and a certain level of knowledge of the English language is a must. SSU officials say their goal is to make the university more internationalized.
"Promoting study abroad, international experience and lectures, and bringing in more international students," said Emmanuel Naniuzevi, Director of International Education Center.
The program will have five students to start but will increase in future years.
