Another ATM Smash and Grab

Savannah-Chatham police are searching for what may be serial ATM burglars. The most recent burglary happened just before 3am this morning. A witness spotted two men inside the Sandfly convenience store at Skidaway and Eisenhower and called police. The first officers to arrive found one of the walls of the business knocked down, and the ATM gone.

In looking over surveillance video, police were able to see someone slamming what appears to be a light-colored pickup truck through the wall, then two masked men getting out and grabbing the ATM. It only took them a little more than a minute to get the machine out and drive away from the area.

Police found tail lights from the truck and other evidence.

Two men using the same technique struck at the Shell station at the corner of Waters and Eisenhower about 4am Sunday morning.  If you have any information about either burglary, call CrimeStoppers at 234-2020.
