Donald ChumleySavannah Christian football coach, Donald Chumley was honored by the Touchdown Club of Atlanta for leading the Raiders to their first Georgia High School Association football championship.
The Raiders dominated Class-A during the season, going undefeated, and beating Landmark Christian 20-3 in the championship game played in the Georgia Dome.
Chumley wanted to share the honor with his team. "It's all about the team and without what the team accomplished and without all the hard work of many people the awards and all the accolades that come along with it would not be possible," said Chumley. "I am very humble but at the same time I'm very appreciative of the Atlanta Touchdown Club and everyone for giving us this notoriety and this attention. Hopefully we can live up to it and return again."
