Ga. Skin and Cancer Clinic opens solar energy powered building

RICHMOND HILL, GA (WTOC) - Georgia Skin and Cancer Clinic in Richmond Hill is thinking green by using solar energy. On Friday, they held a ribbon cutting for a new clinic that runs on solar energy in an effort to make it more affordable for patients. Employees say there is so much sunshine in the south, why not use it?

"We are simplifying the process and supplying the techniques and tools necessary to take advantage of what's naturally available to you," said Dr. Sidney Smith, Georgia Skin and Cancer Clinic owner.

1.5 percent of the money the solar energy company makes will go to a Georgia energy trust fund for Bryan County.
