BULLOCH CO., GA (WTOC) -
Project
Safe was at Southeast Bulloch High School Tuesday, teaching everyone how to
survive in a fire and other emergency skills that save lives. The County Fire
and Emergency Medical Service crews were offering the lessons. Back in
December, a house fire killed a student and her family. Their home did not have
working smoke detectors.
"The
Davis family was a big part of this school and this community. The girls were
active. Haley Davis was a friend of mine," said Jessica Beardon, co-organizer.
In
addition, they also raised money to help the other members of the Davis family.
Students held a drive to distribute batteries and reminded families to buy smoke
detectors and check and replace batteries.
