BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

Bluffton police said a man turned himself in Wednesday on burglary charges.

Buford Ellis Flanders III was arrested Wednesday on second-degree burglary and petty theft charges. Police were called on Jan. 24 to an alarm going off at the Walnuts Cafe at 70 Pennington Dr.

Officers found the front door to the business broken into and an estimated $140 was missing from the business.

Investigators identified Flanders as the one responsible for the burglary, according to Bluffton police. He used a sledgehammer to break the glass on the door and get inside.

Flanders was taken to the Beaufort County Detention Center and is being held on bond.
