Junior ROTC Students Take Simulated Flight

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to fly like the Navy's Blue Angels? Many junior ROTC students from around our area got the chance to feel what it's like. The United States Navy brought its flight simulator by Sol C. Johnson High so students can learn firsthand all that goes into making fighter jets.

It was also to show them what they're used for. "It's something that actually moving and not stagnant," said Lt. Comm. Thomas Johnson. "It shows the precision of the military plus it brings a little bit of excitement to the schools."

The flight simulator will be open to the public during Saint Patrick's Day weekend on River Street.
