A 44-year-old Pooler man was seriously injured Wednesday in a motorcycle crash.

Parvel Leon, of Pooler, was riding a motorcycle east on Robert B. Miller Road about 11:41 a.m. when a pickup truck going westbound that was driven by Robert Cressey, 48, of Statesboro, turned left in front of the motorcycle into the employee entrance at Gulfstream Aerospace Corp., according to Savannah-Chatham Metro Police.

The motorcycle hit the right side of the pickup, throwing Leon into the westbound lanes.

He was taken to the Memorial University Medical Center with head and facial injuries.

SCMPD's Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the collision.
