In October, a Celtic Journey - WTOC returns to Ireland and takes in Scotland and England along the way.

UNITED STATES TO LONDON

Depart Savannah and arrive in London, Heathrow on Oct. 3

Oct. 3

STRATFORD-UPON-AVON

Drive to Stratford-upon-Avon. Visit Shakespeare's birthplace and check into hotel before joining group for a welcome drink and dinner.

Oct. 4

GLASGOW

Depart Stratford for journey to Glasgow traveling through the scenic Lake District. Tour the highlights of Glasgow.

BREAKFAST, DINNER

Oct. 5

INVERNESS, LOCH NESS

Depart Glasgow and travel alongside Loch Lomond, across the haunting Rannoch Moor and through the dep valley of Glen Coe, notorious for the Campbell massacre of Clan Macdonald in 1692. At Fort Augustus take a boat ride on Loch Ness, which will give you an opportunity to enjoy the lovely scener and also look for "Nessie".

Oct. 6

CULLODEN MOOR & HIGHLANDS & EDINBURGH

Visit the Culloden Moor to tour Visitor Centre and walk around the battlefield where, on April 16, 1746, British forces defeated Prince Charles Stuart and ended hopes of restoring the Jacobite Stuarts to the British throne. Drive south through the majestic scenery of the Highlands past Cairngorm Mountains and Aviemore, popular for winter sports. Stop to visit the Blair Atholl Distillery where you can see the process of whisky production and sample the finished product.

BREAKFAST, DINNER & OVERNIGHT: TWO NIGHTS EDINBURGH

Oct. 7

After breakfast take a tour of Scotland's capital city. Drive along Princes Street, famous for its shops on one side and gardens on the other. See the 18th century New Town with broad streets. Drive along the Royal Mile and view Holyroodhouse, the official Scottish residence of Her Majesty the Queen. Take a guided tour of Edinburgh Castle. Afternoon is at leisure.

Oct. 8

DUBLIN

Depart Edinburgh and drive through part of the Southern Uplands and along the coast. At Cairnryan, take a ferry across the narrow channel between Scotland Ireland to Larne, just outside Belfast. Drive south to Dublin and check into hotel. Afternoon is free.

BREAKFAST, DINNER & OVERNIGHT: DUBLIN

Oct. 9

ST. PATRICK'S CATHEDRAL, IRISH NATIONAL CEMETERY

A local guide will show you around the prominent historic buildings and monuments of Dublin. Tour St. Patrick's Cathedral and the Dublin Writers Museum which provides a good introduction to the field of Irish writing. Visit Glasnevin Cemetery which is the Irish National Cemetery. Afternoon at leisure.

BREAKFAST & DINNER

Oct. 10

KILDARE & KINSALE

Drive to Kildare, the heart of Ireland's horse country, and visit the Irish National Stud. Walk in the Japanese Gardens and see the charming St. Fiachra's Garden patron saint of gardening). Drive through marketing towns to Cashel and stop at a local farmhouse for scones and tea. Chat with the owners and learn how Irish farms are run. Drive through County Cork to Kinsale.

BREAKFAST, DINNER & OVERNIGHT IN KINSALE

Oct. 11

WALKING TOUR KINSALE

Walking tour with a local guide to learn history of Kinsale. Visit Charles Fort. Then travel north to Blarney and stop to climb to the kiss the famous "stone of Eloquence". Visit Blarney Woolen Mills before journeying to Killarney.

BREAKFAST, DINNER

Oct. 12

DINGLE PENINSULA

Discover the beauties of the Dingle Peninsula made famous by the movie "Ryan's Daughter". Drive the south shore for vistas of heathery mountains, sandy stretches of beach and rocky headlands. There will be frequent stops to admire the views. Stop in Dingle before continuing to the western tip of the peninsula where the scenery becomes wilder next to the open Atlantic Ocean. Pass early Christian monastic beehive huts and small fishing villages.

BREAKFAST, FAREWELL DINNER

Oct. 13

ADARE, LIMERICK

Visit Adare to view its thatched cottages. Continue to Limerick for a panoramic tour of the city. Continue to Dublin and check into hotel. Afternoon and evening are free to enjoy Dublin.

BREAKFAST & OVERNIGHT IN DUBLIN

Oct. 14

DEPART TO U.S.

Breakfast and transfer to airport. There will be some time for duty-free shopping.
